St. Lucy Feast Day

Join us at St. Mary's on Saturday, Dec. 13 after the 9 AM mass for rolls and coffee, and maybe a visit by St. Lucy!

St. Lucy is said to have taken food to Christians hiding in the catacombs, and to carry as much as possible, she is said to have worn a wreath with candles on it to light her way. Traditionally it is celebrated with the oldest daughter in a family bringing coffee and sweet rolls for breakfast wearing a white gown, red sash, and wreath on her head with candles.
