Children Grades K-6

Our K-6 Faith Formation program utilizes the Alive in Christ series from Our Sunday Visitor to provide engaging and dynamic lessons each week. Children will pray together, read Sacred Scripture, and learn about different saints—all while doing hands-on craft projects and playing games related to the lesson of the week.

Teens Grades 7-8

Teens in Grades 7-8 rotate each year between Bible Studies and Theology of the Body. Both of these programs are extremely important for our young teens to be a part of: studying Sacred Scripture allows them to have a basic understanding of Salvation History as they begin to study our Catholic faith more deeply, and Theology of the Body provides them with an understanding of what the Church teaches about who we are as human persons and how we can respect our call to holiness in our culture.

Teens Grades 9-12

Beginning in high school, our teens prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. They are divided into guys’ and girls’ small groups that they will remain with throughout their high school years and are given two parish small group leaders of the same gender who will walk with them. The first year focuses on studying the Catechism, while the second year focuses on the preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation itself. From there, small groups are able to continue to meet to pray and learn about topics of their choosing.

Mission Trip

Each summer our teens are invited to join us on a week-long mission trip through Alive in You Camps. The trip blends service with spiritual growth and provides a chance each summer to serve in a new part of the country alongside 250 other Catholic teens.

Steubenville Rochester

This weekend conference each summer (typically the second weekend in July) is a great chance for teens to delve deeper into their faith by listening to talks by world-famous Catholic speakers, praying like never before, and opening up to the Lord’s call for their lives.

Coffee Conversations

First Sundays after Mass, come grab some coffee, play some board games, read some Scripture and talk about Jesus.

DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS.png

Discipleship Groups

Before entering high school, teens will have been placed into gender-specific Discipleship Groups (or DGroups) in which they will meet twice each month to prepare for Confirmation. These are the DGroups they will continue to meet with throughout high school, often getting together after Mass for coffee, sharing a meal, or meeting up for a Wednesday night bible study.
